Our medicine is all around us when we know how to look …

Not only is lawn chamomile a favourite food source for bees, who desperately need our assistance, but it also makes a delicious, cleansing tea! Its name is Greek for ‘ground apple’, as it has a soft and fresh, apple-like fragrance.

Chamomile is associated with the sun, and various sun gods, including Ra, Cernunnos and Lugh. It is also aligned with Leo and the element of water. It helps cleanse and invigorate the throat chakra (5th), and an infusion used to wash thresholds (doors and windows) is said to help keep unwanted energies or entities from passing through.
